Interstate 35 work begins Wednesday
BRITT - Concrete patching work will reduce Interstate 35 to one lane in both directions between Wright County roads C-70 and R-75 (Exit 151) north of the Williams area and the Minnesota state line beginning Wednesday, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
A 14-foot width lane restriction will be in place in the open lane. This project is expected to be completed late September.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones.

Wright County Sen. Amy Koch, the Senate's majority leader, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune and other media outlets yesterday that she would like to see a voter referendum on any tax increase proposed to fund a new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings, particularly the current project on the table for Arden Hills.
Koch, flanked by House Majority Leader Kurt Zeller (R, Maple Grove), told reporters she wants to see a vote on the issue, "no matter where it is built."
