Surry Community College, a learning-centered institution devoted to building critical thinking skills, is seeking applicants for the position of
Enology Instructor – Full Time
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Enology, two years of experience in the industry, and strong communication skills.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Enology with significant commercial winemaking experience.
Duties: Advising students, teaching VEN classes, participating in college functions, maintaining professional development, oversee and directly participate in our on-campus bonded winery operations – including all aspects of day-to-day winery operations, comply with all environmental, safety, and regulatory policies in the production of wine, monitor wines throughout the wine-making process including weekends and holidays, and assist in marketing and promoting Surry Cellars at various festivals and wine pouring events.
