US Patents Awarded to Inventors in Texas (Aug. 13)

*** Texas Instruments Assigned Patent ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- Texas Instruments, Dallas, has been assigned a patent (7,994,600) developed by four co-inventors for an antireflective coating. The co-inventors are Simon Joshua Jacobs, Lucas, Texas, Duane Scott Dewald, Dallas, Leigh A. Files, Richardson, Texas, and Terry A. Bartlett, Dallas. The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: "Device and method for an antireflective coating to improve image quality in an image display system. A preferred embodiment comprises a first high refractive index layer overlying a reflective surface of an integrated circuit, a first low refractive index layer overlying the first high refractive index layer, a second high refractive index layer overlying the first low refractive index layer, and a second low refractive index layer overlying the second high refractive index layer. The alternating layers of high refractive index material and low refractive index material form an optical trap, allowing light to readily pass through in one direction, but not so easily in a reverse direction. The dual alternating layer topology improves the antireflective properties of the antireflective layer and permits a wide range of adjustments for manipulating reflectivity and color point." Gas Dryer lp Conversion kit question

Hi, I'm looking for a used dryer and about 99% of them I find are set up for gas, not propane; so I'll have to buy a gas one and get a conversion kit. My question is general in nature; is it okay to assume that I will be able to get an lp conversion kit for most gas dryer models that are under 5 years old? In other words, would you recommend that I buy any gas dryer that I'm happy with and then get a conversion kit or do you recommend that I get the model # and do some research for each dryer to see if the lp conversion kit is available? Are there some brands that I should steer away from that don't even offer lp conversion?
