Vet Golf Tournament deadline today

The Day for the Vet Golf Tournament is Aug. 22 at Napa Golf Course in Kennedy Park. The event has a 1 p.m. shotgun start and is followed by a catered dinner, live music and entertainment, and a raffle with prizes. The cost is $100 per player or $35 for dinner only.

The Day for the Vet is sponsored by Vietnam Veterans of California, a Santa Rosa-based nonprofit organization with over 30 years of experience helping veterans in all areas of needs. Proceeds from the tournament go toward programs helping veterans from different eras and conflicts. Proceeds from the event will help recently-separated veterans with their transition back into communities, areas of assistance, including job training, employment, housing and other supportive services.

Last year, VVC provided services to over 1600 veterans.

The deadline to sign-up is Aug. 15. Payment can be mailed to DFTV, 477 Seminary St., Napa, CA 94559, or to Golf Tournament, VVC, P.O. Box 378, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.
