A telegram was received by the Chamber of Commerce in Marysville that President William Howard Taft will make a stop of 10 minutes in Marysville October 13 on the way to Portland, Oregon The chamber estimates that 20,000 people were expected to see the president.

A team of five airmen from Beale Air Force Base took first place in competition B52 load, but placed second in the competition's combat Strategic Air Command at Fairchild Air Force Base.

League informal - 22 children of primary and middle schools and nine adults - was hosted by Ricky Samayoa Marysville city councilor and is now in its sixth and final week.

He coaches out of police and other public figures, and the beginning of what hopes Samayoa become some version of a recreation department, he said.

Budget cuts eliminated a formal city rec department several years ago.

But this does not mean people do without, Samayoa said.
