We the People: Nevada City prepares for 45th Constitution Day Parade
The parade strolls through the historical district of Nevada City, and also includes antique autos, equestrians, dignitaries, perennial favorite the Ophir Prison Kazoo Band, and a fly-over by the “Formation Flyers” of Nevada County. Children marching in the parade are provided with ice cream and U.S. flags, which are donated by the Gold Country Lions Club. All past and present U.S. Presidents, from George Washington to Barack Obama, will also be on hand for the 24th year in a row. The Marching Presidents are a fun-loving and educational group that portrays all 44 U.S. Presidents with reverence, good humor and varying degrees of historical accuracy. Accompanied by their First Ladies and cadres of trench-coated Secret Service agents, the Marching Presidents are made up of citizens from all walks of life.Maidu ceremonial lodge
